Sierra Myles, AYS’ executive administrator, has been selected for the Indiana Youth Institutes (IYI) Emerging Leaders of Color Fellowship.

This competitive fellowship is designed to identify emerging leaders of color, help them build on their existing leadership skills, and foster community networks required to lead and grow effective youth-serving organizations.
We are proud of all the work that Sierra has put in on behalf of the children of central Indiana, and we are looking forward to seeing her continue to hone her skills alongside other emerging leaders as part of this fellowship.
Participants will engage in a six-month fellowship cohort that focuses on advancing their leadership and management skills. Over the course of six sessions, Sierra and other members of her cohort will receive training from industry leaders on a variety of topics, ranging from trauma informed leadership to resource development.
In the three years since Sierra started at AYS as a Summer Substitute Youth Development Associate, she has made a significant impact on the organization. She quickly became a school year Youth Development Leader before being promoted to Customer Service Manager and, most recently, Executive Administrator, working closely with AYS’ leadership team.
