For one week of Camp AYS, kids had the chance to explore what they might want to be when they grew up.
Kids at our Allisonville Elementary School camp visited Fresh Thyme Farmer’s Market. The kids got to make ants on a log using celery, chocolate covered raisins and sunflower butter. Next they made pizzas. While the pizzas were baking, the kids toured the store and participated in a scavenger hunt!
A couple speakers came to visit our CFI 84 camp. Tolonda Larry from Roche Diagnostics, a healthcare company, and Harvey Lancaster, a lawyer with Hensley Legal Group, stopped by to talk about their roles in the big world of business.
Through a couple trips, campers were provided with some insights on what it takes to run a sports mecca. During a tour of Lucas Oil Stadium, students had the chance to visit the playing field, an NFL locker room, and the press box.
Campers also started a couple business of their own, including operating a lemonade stand and an AYS business town.
