"The past year and a half has been such a wonderful journey. The staff taught (our daughter) so many things she would not have gotten in a home daycare setting. The program curriculum is awesome and has truly prepared (her) for kindergarten and beyond. Not to mention the wonderful memories she will have. If you are a parent, you can truly understand how comforting it is to know that we can drop our child off and go to work without worry. It's priceless."
-An AYS Family, 2012
The public is now recognizing the importance of learning and development in a child's early years. AYS early childhood programs promote the physical, social, emotional and intellectual development of young children in a safe and nurturing environment. AYS uses Creative Curriculum, a research-based curriculum from Teaching Strategies, for use in all its early childhood programs.
Quality programs benefit children, their families, and the community. Quality early childhood programs better prepare children for kindergarten. Families appreciate a safe, fun, stimulating and nurturing environment that helps their children develop socially, emotionally, and intellectually. Many AYS early childhood programs are accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). At minimum, all early childhood staff must have a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential specifically in early childhood.
